Due do these issues it is expected again a delay in the release of Dasavatharam.
The Hindu, morning English daily is the leader in South India. The Hindu for a single-edition has the second largest circulation newspaper in India, and the largest circulation for a single-edition English-language newspaper in the country. With a circulation of 1.17 million copies, The Hindu and has its largest base of circulation in South India, especially Tamil Nadu. Begun in 1878, it was founded on the principles of fairness justice. Headquartered at Chennai, The Hindu was published weekly when it was launched and started publishing daily in 1889. The Hindu became, in 1995, the first Indian newspaper to offer an online edition. Now, after the launch of TIMES of INDIA, the worlds largest selling English daily, the Hindu has slashed their rates from Rs. 3.25 to Rs. 2.50 per copy from Monday to Saturday and Rs. 3/- per copy on Sunday, previously it was Rs. 4/- copy. The other competitors in Tamil Nadu are Deccan Chronicle and The New Indian Express. Recently, the The new Indian Express too has made some change to their paper quality, which looks good now. The question is everyones mind is that, Will The Hindu continues to be the Leader or not??
You believe it or not, “SUN DIRECT is ALIVE”. They have proved it once again, by announcing that the SET MAX will be made available in SUN Direct for next 45 days during IPL season. Sun Direct was launched before 9 to 10 months, but remains inactive in adding pay channels and packages. The existing packages is full of Sun network channels and worst no-watch channels. It is said that they have also added one English movie channel, if you are guessing it to be STAR Movies or HBO or Zee Studio or Set PIX, then you are wrong, it is a new english movie channel launched by UTV, that too a no-watch channel. They have announced a new name for their existing package called “Freedom Package” with one new english movie channel. For time being, it is better to keep away from the SUN DIRECT, don’t buy it.
Dasavadhaaram movie audio was launched by Jackie chaan yesterday in Nehru Stadium, Chennai. The Honorable Chief Minister of State, Mr. M. Karunanidhi took part in the function and gave a final speech in the function. He was praising the Jackie Chaan and gave some interesting facts about the Jackie Chaan. He too made some comparisons about Jacki Chaan and Kamal Haasan, said that both born on same date ‘7? and same year ‘1954?. The news in some media has reported that Kamal was not happy with the Jackie’s arrival. He was most disappointed by the words of CM too, since Chief Minister was keep on praising Jackie Chaan. Other than Jacki chaan and Kalaignar, the function was attended by Amitaa bachan, Hema Malini, Malika Sherawat, Asin, K. S. Ravi Kumar, Mamotti and Others.
I know that i am going to have a couple of arrears, in the results which i am awaiting, so i decided to join some call center until i clear my arrears. Yesterday i went to CTS BPO near Perungudi, I went there and submitted my resume, and found out that they are not recruiting B.E, B.Tech, or MCA graduates. It was strange for me, thought that they are having some stupid criteria to attend the interview, so without losing hope, i went to Ajuba in Tidel Park, there they got my resume and asked me to wait, i waited for an hour , only to find out that they are not recruiting Engineering graduates as well. I called up one of my friend who was attending an interview in a BPO near Nungambakkam to ask whether i could go there, but they are not taking up engg graduates there as well. What could be the big reason behind this
Ok, first things first. I wanted a T-shirt that read “FIve Point Someone”. Now that’s effed. No, it’s nothing to do with the T-shirt not being available or anything. And for that matter, it doesn’t even have to do with the Chetan Book. (That you might or might not have heard about depending on which part of the globe you are from. If you have heard about it and gave it a miss, you are excused.)
Now, this might seem silly, but it is to do with my Grade Point Average in my training. (On a scale of 5 of course and not 10). Shit happens. Unix happens.
(Not that I have anything against UNIX personally. Just that it cost me my magical <digit>.<digit> score) And then all so slowly and agonisingly you realize that you can no longer wear that T-shirt. It will now have to read “Four Point Someone” and that’s no fun, now, is it ? (Even if you do manage to score on the higher side of 4.95 and naturally think it should be rounded off to 5.0.
)
Now I will have to use certain library functions in conjunction with the GPA to make a T-shirt that reads something similar. Ok , enough random stuff for now. Got a 4 credit test coming up. I hope I don’t screw it.
My previous post has drawn some flak from all quarters. People were asking me about my “Peter” post and why I was being all “Senti” and “teary eyed” among a few other things.
Well, I don’t (normally) write posts that are contemplative in nature.
Here is yet another contemplative post. I warn you so you may stop reading and go do something else more important.
If you want to read on, don’t blame me. It’s “slighta” about my career. (But don’t wish me luck. Comments which carry “All the best for the future” will be frowned upon.)
Job:
Now, that I have planned to join Infosys (which I originally had planned on not doing. Let’s say circumstance (read lack of another job) has lead me into this decision), I guess I will have to work for a minimum of 16 months with them. That includes the 4 months (max. ?) training and then a further 1 year period. (I guess there might be a written bond)
Joining an IT company after doing a course in Electrical and Electronics wasn’t really what I had wanted to do. Don’t ask me what I wanted to do. It is because of me being clueless on that, that I am now typing this out. I was hoping that magically I would get into a Electronics company and they would assign me tasks and I would do my best to ensure I delivered what they wanted.
Sad thing is, I never got in. Now, I am not against the so called IT field. I am not particularly bad at anything related to computers and being a EEE student, understand both the hardware and software of it. I can code. I am pretty decent with that. In fact one of the best things about learning to code is that we (Electrical engineers) use it in many things really. From power scheduling algorithms to machine design algorithms. So, programming and learning programming isn’t so bad after all.
Cosmic revelations to come. This is what the scientists are proving on right now. These revelations involve the major unravel of the COSMIC WEB, a theory by which the universe is bounded by invisible threads of dark matter. The current technology has produced a picture of how the universe was born out of the Big bang and how its been held together by the gravitational pull. The cosmic web is said to hold around 100 billion galaxies together. To look back at the universe researchers are using radio waves. The launch of powerful telescope in 2013 will provoke a sign for the search of neutral hydrogen. If the reserchers can look at neutral hydrogen they are sure to end up with the theory of formation of the universe. These are being made possible only by the hype in technology development. One such example for that is a project is underway which helps to monitor and measure the motions of billions of stars in our galaxy.
In NIIT, apart from getting imparted with technical knowledge, they take care to teach you new words. For instance, my J2EE vaathiyaar taught me
- Web Pageses
- JSP Pageses
Now I’m going to add these two words in my dictionary and going to give definitions as ‘Many pages are refered to as pageses’
